After seeing “The Forgotten Man,” I HAD to see more…
Isn’t is strange, after everything the Founding Fathers did and said about God, many people do not realize the crucial role He still plays in our lives? And yes, even the government owes him recognition.

National Center for Constitutional Studies announces free internet course in Constitution.
These “webinars” will begin on July 7th, the in July, and continue each Tuesday for the first four Tuesdays of each month. We will teach our regular Making of America seminar but divide it up into four parts, presenting one part each Tuesday evening for four Tuesdays and then repeat the four parts again each month. It will also give an opportunity for participants to ask questions and have them answered during or after the formal presentation. Each participant may go to our NCCS website and download the applicable pages to the next Tuesday’s webinar. There is no cost for the study guide download or these webinars.
Here is a summary of the subjects covered in each of the four parts:
The, Part I (first Tuesdays) Few Americans today know the real story of how America was made. The struggle of the Founders through 180 years to discover the ideas of freedom will give you a deep appreciation for these people. As each American today experiences this amazing story, he will want to become an advocate and a teacher of America ‘s formula for freedom.
The Making of America Part II (second Tuesdays) In this session we will learn why the Founders called the study of politics a “divine science.” This concept surprises most Americans, but those who hear the story of where the Founders got their great ideas gain a great new hope for America today. One man said, “This is what I always felt inside, but I just have never heard it put in words before.” Also, we will discover why most people in history seem to have to go through a very rough period in order to have the perspective to really appreciate freedom.
The Making of America , Part III (third Tuesdays) In Parts I and II we learned the development of good constitutional ideas in the minds of the Founders. Now in Part III we undertake the study some
of the more profound provisions of the magnificent document we call the . We will point out original intent and it will be very apparent how far we have strayed by the examples we give. This is the point that participants begin to ask themselves how we could have gotten so far off base!
The Making of America , Part IV (fourth Tuesdays) We continue our study of the greatest freedom document ever written by man. Participants come away with the definite impression that the Founders really did have answers to nearly every problem we have in America today. This document is simple, yet profound. It is beautiful and its principles are universal and everlasting. This concluding session contains ideas and suggestions of what citizens can do now that they know somewhat about the freedom document that made the first free people in modern times.

“Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness. In one in which the measures of government receive their impression so immediately from the sense of the (people) as in ours, it is. . .essential.”

Making Weak Things Become Strong
The last couple of months I have become particularly focused on learning more about the Constitution, the principles and history of liberty, and the proper role of government. As our nation continuous on this perilous path to collectivism, I want to be able to knowledgeably and articulately help others understand what is happening so they will be more aware of what is happening and want to do something about it. Although I have a passion to learn, one of my personal challenges has been organizing the things I study in my own mind and then remembering them so I can confidently express them to others.
I recently read this quote by Wilford Woodruff about learning. I will share this with my children, but it also encouraged me. (emphasis added).
“There is one thing I wish particularly to impress upon your minds, and that is, the importance of improving your time while young in treasuring up knowledge and learning those things which will be useful to you in after life. I know from experience, and so do most parents, that the child cannot appreciate the worth of true intelligence, the importance of improving their time in storing up useful knowledge while they are young, as they will when they come to act upon the stage of life, become fathers and mothers, and feel the full force of the responsibilities of training up children. Do not be discouraged because you cannot learn all at once; learn one thing at a time, learn it well, and treasure it up, then learn another truth and treasure that up, and in a few years you will have a great store of useful knowledge which will not only be a great blessing to yourselves and your children, but to your fellow men.” (G. Homer Durham, Discourses of Wilford Woodruff, 269. )
Because things are happening so fast in our country at this time, I feel a need to accelerate my personal learning process. I trust that my efforts in the past will begin to bear fruit and that the things I have studied throughout my life will surface. I expect now that as I continue to learn, I will come to a greater understanding more quickly.
Since the words we say are powerful and can help create reality, instead of telling myself that I learn slowly and have difficulty remembering facts and details, I am saying that I can learn and remember things better than ever before, AND that I can express myself with confidence and conviction, for I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me! (Philipians 4:13)
I believe the words of the Lord as recorded in Ether. “If men will come unto me I will show unto them their weakness, I give unto men (an awareness of their) weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.” (Ether 12:27)

The “Big Lie” of the Government Bailouts:
Our documented research which exposes the campaign money trails behind the Bailouts!
When: THURSDAY, MAY 7th at: 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, 6pm Pacific.
Where: In the comfort of your own home, on the internet at: www.justin.tv/icaucus
What: “The Big Lie” began when Congress insisted they had to approve the government bailouts or the entire national system, of over 8,500 financial institutions, would collapse. If this were true, how did only 25 of these institutions manage to end up with more than 93% of all bailout money? Our research reveals the reason: The majority of campaign donations ever received by many Congressional incumbents from both parties can be traced back to these same 25 companies! Members of Congress want you to think they are in there “fighting for you.” For a great majority of incumbent Congress members, from both parties, our research proves that is just a Big Lie. We all knew it intuitively, but until now we haven’t had the facts at our fingertips to prove it.
Now you will! This research shines the spotlight on incumbents from both parties and exposes the previously unrevealed TEN LEVELS of campaign funding that these 25 companies discretely employ to steer multiple “maximum” donations to the incumbents of their choice. This is why the Incumbents do not listen to “We The People” when we oppose by nearly 1,000 to 1 bailout and deficit spending legislation. This research gives us The Big Stick to take the next step in replacing compromised Incumbents with candidates committed to fiscal responsibility and REAL transparency.

Last night, the ABC Evening News said the Tea Parties were backed by people fronting for corporate interests.
Nancy Pelosi said that the Tea Parties were not a grass roots effort but was AstroTurf with no roots. She said the rallies were funded by the wealthy who do not want their taxes raised.
Other comments were made by a number of news organizations parroting Susan Rojen of CNN, saying that the original Boston Tea Party was taxation by representation. She said that we have taxation by representation. She said that they did vote but they lost. I addressed that issue yesterday, maintaining that voting for someone is not a mandate for them to break their oath of office by betraying the Constitution as President Obama has. Also, our current situation is not too different than the original Tea Party. When we have taxation without representation when over 90% of the messages received by our representatives who voted on the stimulus package, were against the passage. Our representatives did not represent us. They seldom do any more.
The media is working against average Americans in their attacks on those who attended Tea Parties. Most people who came to these events had never protested before. They were the silent majority, the backbone of the country, finally letting their voices be heard because of their love for this country. The sheer numbers and non-radical crowds have so shaken up the establishment and their stooges, the MSM, that they are doing everything they can to play it down. We scared them, America.
The following article shows a determination to find anything seemingly radical, negative or create a slant that way. I will post my remarks about this article in between the lines. Reading between the lines should prove easy this time.
Thousands rally with ‘tea parties’ on tax day
By JOE BIESK, Associated Press Writer
ATLANTA – Whipped up by conservative commentators and bloggers, tens of thousands of protesters staged “tea bags toward the White House, causing a brief lockdown at the compound.” around the country Wednesday to tap into the collective angst stirred up by a bad economy, government spending and bailouts. The rallies were directed at ‘s new administration on a symbolic day: the deadline to file income taxes. Protesters even threw what appeared to be a box of
This was whipped up by an off the cuff rant by a newscaster on the floor of the Chicago stock exchange and furthered by average Americans using the internet. Talk radio came along after the fact. The organizers of the DC protest believed that the person who threw the box of tea bags was not a part of their protest.
Shouts rang out from Kentucky, which just passed tax increases on cigarettes and alcohol, to Salt Lake City, where many in the crowd booed Republican Gov. Jon Huntsman for accepting about $1.5 billion in stimulus money. Even in Alaska, where there is no statewide income tax or sales tax, hundreds of people held signs and chanted “No more spending.”
They are really reaching in their determination to find something negative. Shouts rang out…they booed…how radical!
“Frankly, I’m mad as hell,” said businessman Doug Burnett at a rally at the Iowa Capitol, where many of the about 1,000 people wore red shirts declaring “revolution is brewing.” Burnett added: “This country has been on a spending spree for decades, a spending spree we can’t afford.”
In Boston, a few hundred protesters gathered on the Boston Common — a short distance from the original Tea Party — some dressed in Revolutionary garb and carrying signs that said “Barney Frank, Bernie Madoff: And the Difference Is?” and “D.C.: District of Communism.”
There were rallies with ten thousand people in a number of places but they talk of Boston with only a few hundred.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up a tea party at Austin City Hall with his stance against the federal government, as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, “Secede!”
Governor Perry clearly said he did not want succession but could not say what would happen in the future if the federal government continued out of control. This makes it sound as if the governor was whipping up the crowd to chant ‘secede”.
In Atlanta, thousands of people gathered outside the Capitol, where Fox News Channel conservative pundit Sean Hannity was set to broadcast his show Wednesday night. One protester’s sign read: “Hey Obama you can keep the change.”
Here, the media admits that there was a big crowd, but they don’t say how big. Estimates put it around twenty to twenty-five thousand. Yet, the clear message is that the crowd was big only because of Sean Hannity.
The tea parties were promoted by , a conservative nonprofit advocacy group based in Washington and led by former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey of Texas, who is now a lobbyist.
This did not start with FreedomWorks and lots of other groups were involved and most Tea Parties were not launched by FreedomWorks. After sticking that in our heads, they write the following, in an attempt to be a tiny bit fair:
Organizers said the movement developed organically through online social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter and through exposure on Fox News.
While FreedomWorks insisted the rallies were nonpartisan, they have been seized on by many prominent Republicans who view them as a promising way for the party to reclaim its momentum.
Many Republicans wanted to address various crowds and were turned down because this was nonpartisan and people did not want them to take advantage of the crowds for personal reasons. Not all Tea Parties followed this, but most did.
“All you have to be is a mildly awake Republican candidate for office to get in front of that parade,” said Americans for Tax Reform., president of
The movement attracted some Republicans considering 2012 presidential bids.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich planned to address a tea party in a New York City park Wednesday night. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal sent an e-mail to his supporters, letting them know about tea parties throughout the state. South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford planned to attend two tea parties.
There were several small counter-protests, including one that drew about a dozen people at Fountain Square in Cincinnati. A counter-protester held a sign that read, “Where were you when Bush was spending billions a month ‘liberating’ Iraq?” The anti-tax demonstration there, meanwhile, drew about 4,000 people.
A dozen people? You have got to be kidding!
In Lansing, Mich., outside the state Capitol, another 4,000 people waved signs exclaiming “Stop the Fiscal Madness,” “Read My Lipstick! No More Bailouts” and “The Pirates Are in D.C.” Children held makeshift signs complaining about the rising debt.
More than 1,000 protesters gathered outside a downtown federal building in Salt Lake City despite the rain and snow. Kate Maloney held a cardboard sign that read “Pin the tail on the jacka$$” with a picture of Obama on a Democratic donkey.
Interesting how hard the media had to search for something this negative. I wonder why most of the media never showed the racial and hate-filled signs and chants from the rallies a couple of years ago supporting illegal immigration. We had to see those things on alternative media sites.
Before I rant, I want to encourage everyone who can attend a Tea Party, to do so, and to thank all of those involved and wish them luck.
Now my rant: Yesterday I blogged on an article called “Federal Agency Warns of Radicals on Right”. The second and third page would not open up so I wanted to add a little more after reading those pages. So adding to what I wrote yesterday, I was not surprised to find that included in the Homeland Security report was people who exercise their second amendment rights.
I will call a spade a spade; it is nothing short of tyranny to blatantly stand against the Constitution and then use scare tactics to force the American people to comply or be put on a list. The National Guard has been called out today and Homeland Security may be recording those who appear at the Tea Parties. We have the right to assemble and to protest. If people are made to feel that if they exercise these rights, then they will be labeled a terrorist, then those rights may stand in name only. If people fear being put on a list, they may bypass the right to own a gun or buy ammunition.
I continue to hear people say that all of this is a mandate from the people because they elected Barak Obama. Even yesterday I heard another liberal repeat the mantra; “On November 4, 2008, we had an election, live with it.” Does this give the president the right to take to himself dictatorial powers? Did his oath of office declare that he uphold the Constitution or not? Have we somehow given up our rights to protest the usurpation of our rights because of an election?God forbid.

It is worth noting that the close Alaskan Senate election was decided by the issue of corruption charges that have now been thrown out. If they knew now what that didn’t know then this guy would still be a senator.
Senator Steven’s case has been dropped. It looks like he was railroaded by the Feds. It appears that witnesses were lying, and the prosecution went in – guns blazing and trampling on the constitution.
(This should be a warning to those who deal with the government, especially those on the right. No wonder the AIG bonus recipients are fearing for their lives. The government has run amok and the constitution is ignored . . .OF course don’t worry, the jack-booted thugs are not interested in you…yet.)
Justice Department seeks to drop Stevens case
Evidence was withheld from the former senator’s defense team
WASHINGTON – Faced with embarrassing revelations about withheld evidence, the Justice Department on Wednesday moved to reverse the conviction of former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, who lost his bid for re-election just days after a jury found that he had lied about gifts and home renovations.
Justice Department lawyers asked a judge to dismiss the indictment against Stevens and toss out his conviction — effectively killing their own courtroom victory with a shocking admission of misbehavior by prosecutors.
Today, on the Rush Limbaugh show, he showed that he really is waking up to reality. One year ago Rush was still saying the American economy was in great shape and that those saying differently were only liberals trying to scare us. Now he has done his homework. On the radio this morning, Rush lamented the fact that no one is talking about the coming inflation and how devastating it is going to be. We are currently in deflation but that is a temporary conditin. When a caller talked about the TAARP money that tax payers are throwing at banks, Rush said that the reality was, it was not tax payer money. The Fed is printing dollars hand over fist to hand out. There is nothing backing this money and within a few years, our deflation will move to inflation and the value of our money will sink like a stone. There is no way around this due to the actions of the government.
Rush also informed us that a large chunk of the proposed bailout money will go to ACORN, the community organization largely responsible for getting President Obama into office. Obama started out as a community organizer. Many years ago I learned some of the things these community organizations do and it would curl your hair. Basically, Rush told his audience that from what he could see, a great deal of the money from the new package proposed by the president is payback to cronies who backed Democrats this year. So, to put it bluntly, our government is paying off those who have funded the move to socialism. Are we in trouble? More than most people dream, because it is easy to loose freedoms but to regain them is a monumental task.
Now that Rush Llimbaugh is strongly standing up for right thinking in most of what he says, we are supposed to stop listening to him. At least that is what Congress has been told by President Obama. At times, Rush really bugs me and I do not always agree with him, but now that he is under attack and also since he is seeing things more clearly, I want to support him more.
After watching Obama carefully for the last year, I have to say tha I believe he is the kind of man who will stand for no opposition. He is a natural dictator. His retort to the Republicans last Friday with the “I won” comment was no joke. He listens to others but he will do what he wants to do because he believes he is superior. By the time his term is up, freedom of speech will have lost more ground than the last two centuries combined. To tell legislators not to listen to Rush if they want a place in Washington is dangerous and over the line.
The subtle ways in which our freedom of speech is being chiseled away by the thought police of governments around the world and their attack dogs, the media, is not apparent to most people, but believe me, it is happening in leaps and bounds. Speak out against it, make people aware of it. Do not buy into the pressure to support the policies of President Obama. It is treasonous to support policies that go against the Constitution and are designed to steal our liberties. It is insidious for liberals to pretend that they are bringing back the standards of our forefathers. I have heard the president and his ilk say again and again that they will return us to the right path that America was founded upon. This is doublespeak, but people are buying it because they are not educated about the Constitution. Ignorance is killing our nation…fight it in your circles of influence.
Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.
House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities.”
He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as “payoff” for groups’ political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year.
But he said the funding is just one example of frivolous spending items in the $825 billion package.
“It’s just a long list of spending items. Not a real economic stimulus job creation bill,” Vitter said. “It’s line after line after line of favorite liberal spending programs, and it amounts to a big government bill — not a job creation bill.”
